A maintenance plan bundles your annual tune-up with priority scheduling and a discount on repairs. The visit itself is the same work as a paid tune-up: safety inspection, cleaning, and measured performance checks. What you are additionally buying is position in the queue during the weeks everyone else needs us, and a lower rate when something does break.
What is actually included
The visit is the core. The scheduling and repair terms are what separate a plan from simply booking a tune-up each year.
- Annual safety and performance inspection with recorded readings
- Burner, blower, and drain cleaning
- Priority scheduling ahead of non-plan calls during peak weeks
- A discount on any repair that comes out of the visit
- A service history we keep, which most manufacturer warranties require
When it pays and when it does not
A plan pays for itself the first winter you need a call-out during a cold snap, because that is exactly when scheduling is hardest. It pays again if your equipment is more than about ten years old and repairs are becoming likelier.
It is worth less on a system installed in the last couple of years still under full parts warranty, where a straight annual tune-up may be the better value. We will say so.
Timing the first visit
Book heating maintenance in late summer or early autumn, and cooling in spring. Booking your furnace tune-up in January means competing with every no-heat call in the valley.
We keep the written readings from each visit, so the plan produces a year-over-year record of how your system is actually trending rather than a stack of receipts.
