Big Valley Heating & Sheet Metal Ltd ("Big Valley," "we," "us," or "our") is a heating, cooling, and custom sheet metal contractor serving the Fraser Valley from Maple Ridge, BC. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This policy explains what information we collect through our website and in the course of providing service, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you request an estimate, book service, apply for a job, or contact us by phone, form, or email, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, details about your home's heating and cooling equipment, the nature of your request, and — for job applicants — the information you include in your application. If you pay for service, payment details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our website.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicks on our phone number. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies, described below, and is used in aggregate to understand how the site performs.
How We Use Your Information

Other third-party services on this site. Our contact and careers forms use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to block automated spam, and our pages embed a Google Map of our Maple Ridge shop. Our Reviews page displays our Google reviews through a widget loaded from Trustindex (cdn.trustindex.io); Trustindex may collect device and usage information from that page under Trustindex's Privacy Policy. As of the "Last updated" date above, we do not run any chat bot, call-tracking, or advertising-retargeting tags on this site.
When We Share Information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate — for example, scheduling and dispatch software, payment processors, form-delivery and website-hosting providers, and equipment manufacturers when registering your warranty. Retention

Service and warranty records are kept for the life of the equipment warranty plus applicable legal retention periods. Job applications are kept for up to one year unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Website analytics data is retained in aggregate form.

We protect personal information with physical, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) on this website and access controls on our business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Children
Our website and services are directed at homeowners and businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our site links to third-party sites such as Google Maps, our Google Business Profile and its reviews (shown on our Reviews page via Trustindex), rebate programs, and manufacturer resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
